Great Golf Tips
They're available FREE on the Internet

I know what you're thinking – 'nothing is free.' I guess I should say that the tips on the Internet won't cost you any money. You might have to endure some annoying pop-ups or pop-unders, or some flashing ads, but you can save your money for balls and greens fees.

Golf tips are always welcome. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro – tips help. Usually, however, tips come only from close friends, or others we play with often. Every golfer is afraid of turning into that tip-offering friend, if the advice is followed too often or too closely. Reaching outside your circle of fellow players is a great way to improve your game, and your golf horizons.

If during your last weekly round you learned something new, something that you knew could help other golfers, would you pass it on to those other golfers? Many golfers do. And today, most use the Internet to disseminate their tips. And more and more golfers are using it to retrieve these helpful bits of information.

Anymore, in fact, it's easy to quickly find a wealth of information that can appreciably improve your game. There are tips to help you solve any problem you have, and tips to help you develop any skill you choose. Spend a little time researching and 'surfing' the Internet, and you'll likely find information on something you never even considered getting advice on. And since you're already on your computer, you can quickly and efficiently organize all your information and tips.

In fact, today, there is so much golfing information available to Internet users that it might be easy for beginners (of the Internet and/or golf) to become overwhelmed and confused. Beginner golfers should stick to exploring the more basic tips. Look for "how to" and "golf 101" tips. Avoid the more complicated, advanced tips and hints until you are a more advanced golfer. If the information you're retrieving seems to become inadequate, or too simple, play with your search words to find more advanced information and instruction.

One of the nicest things about Internet golf research is that you don't need to rush. Also, you can do it any time you want. I frequently jump on line early Sunday morning before I play. It psyches me up! You can also print off some or all of the information you dig up. This allows you to take it with you to the course. You can print and use reminders, diagrams, and procedural checklists to help you on the course as soon as you run into a target problem.

Today there are already endless golf websites that include everything you can imagine. And more are coming on line weekly. They cover everything from the mental part of this intriguing game, such as keeping your confidence when you're in the sand, to stroke-saving tips such as going up a club, and the up and over shots. The Internet databases are massive, and can provide you with practically everything you need to play better, or find a new course, or pick a new set of clubs, or a putter. And if you're computer savvy, then get into the new "blog" craze, or maybe even an RSS feed. You can even play golf on line at several sites. Exciting stuff, to be sure!

Of course we never get rained out here in Tucson, but if we did, the new Internet might be a good second place for that day. If I can't play golf, I like reading about it, and learning about it. I think I'll look up that golf vacation package in Scotland again…
