Entertainment is one thing that all countries provide for the tourist to go to. Similarly, when on a trip to Tucson, it is very much required to visit one of their many places of attraction for entertainment in Tucson. One of the major places of entertainment in Tucson is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
With its renowned combination of a zoo, botanical garden and natural history museum, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum reflects the vast flora and fauna that is found in the Sonoran Desert. Strolling through the desert museum, you get to see wildlife like coyotes, mountain lions and bears in their natural settings. Along with this, there are also two aviaries; one for hummingbirds and the other for the varied desert birds that are found in the desert areas around Tucson. This museum has about two miles of paths on 21 acres of land, so this can be considered more of a walking experience. Strollers and wheelchairs are available free of charge, but on a first come, first served basis. If required, electric scooter wheelchairs are available at a rent of $10 each. People using wheelchairs here need not worry, as all the exhibits are reachable by the wheelchair!
The film buff should make a visit to the Old Tucson Studios, where one gets to learn how Western movies are made. There is a mock Western town found there which was first built as the set for the movie Arizona, in 1939. Since then, over 70 movies have been filmed there. In addition to seeing how movies are being created here, one can visit the action-packed theme park that has exciting, staged street shootouts and rides, along with live entertainment.
Another must see in Tucson is the Colossal Cave Mountain Park. This is a beautiful cave that is definitely worth seeing. The route of this cave is about a half-mile long and needs about 45-50 minutes to get completed. You are led down and back up about six and a half stories to get to see the beautiful cave formations found here like the stalactites, flowstone, stalagmites, boxwork and helicities. These tours are given daily and are not pre-scheduled. However, you needn’t wait longer than 30 minutes after buying the ticket, to go on the tour. As the temperature here is always a cool, dry 70 degrees, there is no need of any special clothing. Pictures are permitted, but it is advised to use high-speed film and a flash for cameras and candlelight setting for use on video cameras.

The sportsman has to make a visit to the Aeroball Sports Courts, which is the only place in Arizona where one can play Gordon’s Aeroball. This is a fun, new sports game that incorporates the fundamentals of both volleyball and basketball. To add the spice to the game, the game is played on a trampoline! So while Aeroball tends to challenge the finest athletes, it also provides fun for the whole family. So a trip here helps you discover how much fun family fitness can actually be. Another 'must go' place for the sportsperson is the Pima County Fairgrounds. This place boasts of not only featuring NHRA drag racing, but it also houses indoor and outdoor equestrian facilities, RV parking and the Pima County fair.
