None of the taxes listed below, which is not a complete list, were in existence 100 years ago. Yet, 100 years ago America was the most prosperous nation on earth – with no national debt and the largest middle class of any country.

Today, even with the paying of all the taxes, the national debt is over 6-trillion dollars. The president recently approved it to go to 9-trillion dollars! But you have no idea how much a trillion dollars is – nobody does. A 'trillion' is simply too large a number for us to even contemplate. So here's a way to get a better idea of how many a 'trillion' is. If you owned a magical printing press that never ran out of ink and paper, and you printed a one dollar bill every second, it would take you 31, 710 YEARS to print a trillion dollars:

1-trillion seconds = 31,710 years.
A trillion minutes = 1,902,588 years (That's one BILLION nine hundred and two MILLION five hundred and eighty-eight thousand years. Scary, huh?
