Tucson Arizona's Fox Theater

The historical Fox Theater opened at 17 West Congress Street on April 11, 1930. At that time, it featured movies as well as vaudevillian performances. The 27,000 square foot theater, which seats about 1,200 people, closed in 1974.

Thanks to the efforts of the Fox Tucson Theater Foundation, the theater reopened for New Year's Eve, December 31, 2005 with a special, fund raising event. The theater, since re-opening, will show vintage movies, classics, and re-releases, as well as host some of Tucson's special functions.
